Plasencia Cosecha 146

It has been 99 days (not that I’m counting) since my last cigar and whiskey on this balcony of mine, and for good reason: We have been trying for another child and now my wife is pregnant again, and we couldn’t be happier. Yes, it is very early days, but still, could there be a better time to celebrate?

This cigar is one fine example. Have you ever seen a cigar with just the bottom half box-pressed? The top half is round, while the bottom is nearly square.

Since it has been so long, my palate is no longer adjusted to detecting all the flavours. The smoke started out pretty zesty but smoothed out by the second third. Aged smooth tobacco was the predominant flavour, but the smoke output and burn were just perfect. The final third was the end of me—the nicotine got to me, and my experience came to an end. Good to be back all the same.
