The very first cigar I reviewed on this site was the RYJ No.3. Fourteen months later I thought it was time to revisit this brand and try the RYJ No.1.
Opened with a punch this time the cold draw has a taste of Weet-Bix and honey. Draw is pretty tight hopefully not a hindrance.
First third is a subtle sweet cedar. There is a bit of a tartness for the finish which I can’t define.
As I continue flavours of leather, spice and pepper show, these flavours are muted to the point of just being recognisable. Burn was on point but the draw was a little too tight for my liking. Overall enjoyable and recommended for people new to cigars.
