Sobremesa El Americano 6″ x 52

The makeup of this cigar is impressive; ready…

It uses a La Meca Ecuador habano Grade 1 dark rosado wrapper and Mexican Matacapan Negro de temporal binder over five different filler tobaccos: Nicaraguan GK Condega C-SG seco, Nicaraguan Pueblo Nuevo criollo viso, Nicaraguan La Joya Estelí C-98 viso, Nicaraguan ASP Estelí hybrid ligero and broadleaf ligero from Lancaster County in Pennsylvania.

This cigar is a beast; a large cigar with a very firm pack. Like usual the gold and tan ban is simple like you should know what brand this is, and you do because who doesn’t know the masterful blender Steve Saka?

30 minutes in I’m reeling from this full strength cigar that clearly takes no prisoners! It does though show you enjoyable flavours as you near nicotine narcosis. Raw coffee beans coated in dark chocolate is my best description; you also get a tart but slightly sweet and sour wood with white pepper bringing up the rear.

From the second half wood and earth become more prominent with sweet and bitter dark chocolate. This is a well made complex cigar that sits you on your arse, and has a chewy thick flavorsome smoke which is set to please. Cigar burns true; construction cannot be faltered.

The last third is dark chocolate nuts and earth – a perfect finish to an amazing cigar, very impressive!

Stopped at 80 mins; could have lasted at least 15 minutes more.

$35 AUD
