Charter Oak Rothschild 4.5 x 50

When I first started smoking cigars I was all about the Maduro wrapper, which I still am a very big fan but lately Connecticut shade has been a standout for me.

As expected barnyard aromas of  hay and cedar are shown from fresh. Pack is a little soft but uniform with an exceptionally smooth wrapper, so much so the veins are virtually undetectable to the touch.

It’s not surprising that there is a nice wood/hay taste once lit,  Draw has a hint of sweetness with amazing smoke output for a short draw.

From the halfway mark white pepper appears briefly but quickly surrenders to a smooth finish of cedar and cream.

This cigar was really hard to put down and I couldn’t help but smoke all the way to the nub! Highly recommended.
