I’m a big fan of Rocky but the presentation misses the mark this time.
I’m a little confused with this cigar; it’s like they spent all the time designing this ridiculous band, then ran out of time for the name. Hey let’s just use the batch number, that’ll do it…
Okay then, let’s judge the book itself. First thing you’ll notice lighting up is strong black pepper. This subsides quickly, and tastes of barnyard, cedar and cloves come to light.
I found it interesting that this is Rocky’s impression of an aged Cuban cigar. I think he has done it justice, but it’s slightly more diverse than most Cubans I have smoked.
From the second third flavour is strong with strength reaching just above medium. Pepper spice, wood and cloves continue.
The final third is by far my favourite with hints of nuts, cedar, leather and white pepper lingering for the finish.
Another great cigar by Rocky Patel smoked right to the nub. Recommended.
