Padilla catcher in the rye

I haven’t read many books, but ‘The Catcher in the Rye’ is one of them.

The 6 x 54 size of this cigar is just perfect for my liking. This example lit beautifully, had the perfect draw producing abundant plumes of smoke. Not a bad start at all.

It seems like Privada has a love-hate relationship with this manufacturer, but I cannot find anything to dislike about this fine cigar. I’m getting notes of leather and tobacco, aged but not overly so, which keeps it mild and not overbearing. Fruity flavours are all around, with a mix of dried and fresh bursts, and white pepper on the finish. The strength is pushing to the upper limit from the halfway mark. This is not a cigar for newbies or early morning smokers.

I used to smoke cigarettes as soon as my eyes opened (many years ago now), but I could never imagine smoking a cigar in the morning. I enjoy the experience as the last thing I do, well, second last, followed by something sweet.

I don’t have a single bad word to say about this cigar. It smoked perfectly, the flavours were varied enough to keep me interested but not so overwhelming that I couldn’t relax. It’s strong but rounded and defined.
