This Costa Rican toro certainly looks the part. The wrapper has a smooth, attractive sheen and the cigar is expertly rolled.

Savoury notes lead from the start — a touch herbal with hints of leather and cedar. As the cigar develops, I’m getting some cereal vibes: honey-nut flakes, a bit of nuttiness, and even a little day-old bread. The leather and cedar remain consistent throughout.
Something a bit unusual for me: the draw tightened up in the final third. I don’t think I’ve had that happen before. It stayed smokable and eventually opened back up, returning to the same flavour profile.
Total smoking time was around 90 minutes, and overall, not bad at all — especially at $11 USD.
